Meet
I am a Canadian doctor who has studied, worked, volunteered, and experienced living conditions in over 30 countries. I completed my masters at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, internship at the WHO in Geneva, emergency medicine training in Toronto, and fellowship at Harvard.
I’m an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and attending Emergency Physician and North York General Hospital.
I’m from a low-income upbringing, raised in Edmonton by a single mother with schizoaffective disorder. I shared some of my story in Canada’s national newspaper, the Globe and Mail. All my accomplishments above are thanks to Canada’s gracious social safety net. I wish every country on the globe could have that kind of support system.
